It's been a while hasn't it? I took some time off, changed direction a little bit, started feeling a bit more positive about photography.
I won't be updating this photoblog anymore. I'm going to keep everything here archived, for the time being. I started a new site a month or so ago and things have been going well. I'd like it if you took a look: catherine buca photography. Everything there is new, things I've been working on for the past few weeks. You will notice, no doubt, the change in style. There are photos I've posted here in the past that I love, so I plan on moving some over in time.
In addition, I no longer update my old flickr stream, having characteristically acted in my fickle way and opened a new account there: catherine buca at flickr. I might move some of my favourites from the old stream over, I might not.
My motives for all this are strange and convoluted, so I won't confuse matters at the moment. In any event, it has proven fruitful; I have been approached to submit three pieces to an invitational exhibit in Iowa this coming spring, and on a day-to-day basis I'm receiving some fabulous feedback.
Thank you to everyone who has visited snaps over the past year - your comments and support have been invaluable. I hope this isn't the end, but a glorious beginning ...
