So the good people who run the student's finance profiteering racket over here have decided to take away part of the funding for my degree. It's ok, I'm not bitter (much). Just means money is now tighter than my husband at Christmas and sacrifices must sadly be made. I doubt, therefore, I will get back to my prolific posting of a photo every day anytime soon (can I even afford to get my rolls of film from my FM2 and K1000 developed?). There were a couple of things I was pursuing online that have had to take a back-seat unfortunately, but hopefully I will still get time to have a browse every now and again and keep up with what all you magnificent arteests are up to :p Good job, I suppose, that I discovered my photography hobby before this happened or I wouldn't have been able to splurge last semester and get my D50 or other thousands of pieces of photomagical equipment that I now love so dearly.
Don't feel bad for me - I knew I would have to make tough decisions when I started this degree. Just a damn shame they fooled me into a happy place for a year first.
All donations of upwards of £10,000 greatly appreciated ;-)

  • Shadow cast by that chair frame is an excellent capture and makes for an imaginative image here. I like this a lot.
Sorry to hear of the funding plight. Contrast that with the multi-billions from our punitive taxes freely ‘allocated’ to obscure objectives via external consultants and experts answerable to no-one. I do start to wonder where we are all headed.

  • Sorry to hear it Cat, that's totally rubbish. But at least you don't have to pay for developing with your D50, and surely the daily admiration of your pictures is money in the bank of your soul. Er... or something ;) Nice shot, anyway.
